We are delighted to announce that Worcestershire Cricket Board has now become the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, a charity that aspires to have a positive impact on participants and communities across the County using the power of cricket.

We are excited about the future and the opportunities it presents for participation in cricket and cricket related activities throughout Worcestershire.

Craig Oakley, Head of Participation and Growth at Worcestershire Cricket Foundation stated;

"It’s a really exciting time for us to launch as a foundation after becoming a registered Charity in January of 2022 and recruiting a new group of fantastic trustees to lead us following this. Having a fresh brand and changing our name will allow us to be truly identifiable throughout Worcestershire and beyond as a charity ensuring cricket is a game for all.

The core programmes that we currently run will not change. Our clubs, schools, competitions, and education programmes will continue to receive the same levels of support from our dedicated team.We will also look to grow our community programmes, adding to the great work we have already undertaken over the past year.

We have seen growth in our disability programmes, walking cricket, seated cricket and Holiday Activity and Food camps, and this growth will be further enhanced as we move forward as a Foundation. Work in this area will allow us to reach people and communities who previously have not had the opportunity to access cricket and the benefit to people’s lives that our great sport brings."
