Worcestershire Cricket Board

As the Chair of the Board, it is an absolute pleasure to launch the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation. Although we registered as a charity early in 2022, we only recently completed the transition with the change of name, our new brand and the introduction of our new website.

Operating as a charity will strengthen the opportunities available to us to expand our existing programmes and explore different ways of engaging with communities. The team, led by Craig Oakley, is already growing our engagement with you through their work with people and communities who previously were unable to experience the joy of cricket.

The team has worked hard, not just at delivering cricket to you, but to realise this transition. So, my heartfelt thanks to them for all their work. My thanks too to fellow trustees – past and present – who also worked hard collectively to get to this point.

Cricket should be available to anyone who wants to play, regardless of gender, race, background or ability. The Foundation’s role is to help that happen.
